The Dilettante is seeking fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, photography, and all other forms of visual and textual works for inclusion in Edition 7, coming Spring 2026.
If you’ve been following The Dilettante for a while, you know that previous editions have each adhered to a different theme. With our new direction, we aim to feature a more diverse selection of works in our printed editions. As such, we’re opening up submissions to all visual and textual works—anything capable of being physically printed—without adherence to a theme.
Interested artists can submit their work using the Google Form linked below. If you are submitting multiple (unrelated) works, please complete a separate form for each.
Submission Guidelines:
- Textual submissions should be uploaded as a Word document (.docx), with individual pieces not exceeding 2,500 words.
- Visual submissions may be in the form of a single image or a small body of work (up to 5 images).
- Format for naming files: FirstName_LastName_01.jpg (visual) or FirstName_LastName_Title.docx (textual)
- Visual submissions must be 3000px on the longest side with a resolution of 300 DPI.
- The Dilettante does not consider or review AI-generated work. Submissions utilizing AI tools will be automatically declined.
- Everyone will be notified whether they are selected or not via email. It generally takes our team a minimum of 4 weeks to go through all the submissions.
- There is no entry fee. Regretfully, The Dilettante does not currently have capacity to compensate contributors.
